This looks like a great close up illusion.

We are expecting them to ship week commencing 13th Septemeber. We have Free world wide delivery for all order placed during this time.

The floating light bulb is a classic grand stage illusion that has mesmerized audiences for years. Vitelli’s Twilite Floating Bulb is a dynamic miniature version that fits right in the palm of your hand. What’s more, it all happens inches from their faces.

Introduce a tiny light bulb – it’s about the same size as peanut. Make some magical passes over the bulb and it mysteriously blinks to life – this psychic lighting is doubly impressive because of the sheer intensity of the light. It’s hard to believe so much light can come from such a tiny bulb.

They get a genuine shiver down their spines when you command the bulb to sloooowly stand on the center of your palm. . . still lit!

By now they’ll think they’ve seen it all, but it’s all been a lead-up to the fantastic finale. . . you cause Twilite to rise off your hand and take flight!

The majesty of the lit bulb soaring is breathtaking – make sure to watch the attached video. Since you’re in total control, Twilite will levitate until you want it to descend to your hand as smoothly and slowly as it left. It then lays down on your palm and concludes its astonishing performance with “lights out” before it goes back into your pocket all set for its next performance.

The Twilite Floating Bulb can be performed anywhere – surrounded. It comes complete with the custom manufactured Twilite mini bulb, batteries, instructions plus accessories.

Effect as advertised:

The magician takes out a deck of cards that looks quite strange. A red deck of cards inside a red card case.is crossed by a blue deck of cards He pulls out the blue deck and proves it to be a full deck. Then the performer pulls out the red deck from the case, which is also turned out to be a full deck.

Comes complete with gimmicked red and blue Bicycle decks and instruction sheet.

Packaging Quality: Typical Masuda plastic wrapping, does the job but generally the packaging gets destroyed when you open it.

Instructions Quality: Black and White photocopied instructions. They arent the clearest but you can make out whats needed.

Contents: Instructions, All required gimmicks etc

Prop Quality: Well made, must be a pain in the @rse to make for them…

Initial Thoughts: On the demo this does look pretty cool. Quite a nice visual effect. The method isnt what I expected at all.

After Playing for a while: See, I like the effect, but the method puts me off. What you are left with is two ‘decks’, neither of which is normall att all, so obviously a deck switch or two would need to follow this effect. Its a very odd things to see though and I think a lay person would be quite interested. Thinking more, you could very easily remove the first deck, put it in the box, then place that into your pocket. Then show the second deck and put it back into the case. You can then say ‘lets try something with the two decks, put your hard into the pocket with the first deck and bring out a NORMAL deck, at the same time place the second deck into your other pocket and switch it. This would obviously switch out the two decks pretty fairly.

First Performance: Blimey! This had a GOOD reaction! I did exactly as detailed above, I perfomed the effect, switched out the decks and then performed a ‘thought of card transpo’ using a normal deck and a brainwave deck, Nice!

Overall Audience Reaction: Very good. The routine I performed went down REALLY well. The Brainwave part blew them away but after they were talking about the first part, with the crossed deck, gits!

Pros: Clever Idea, nicely made props

Cons: Only that its one trick and oen trick only UNLESS you switch out the decks, but really thats no issue…

Value for Money: I can see that these must take ages to make, so I can see why they are priced the way they are. However the price tag is still a little steep for something you MAY not use. If you like the demo, thats exactly what you get (effect wise), you decide

The performer places a plastic wallet which contains a prediction on the table. Then a spectator chooses a card from the deck. The magician places it on top of the deck without showing its face. He opens the wallet to show the prediction card. A name of a card is cut out. The selected card is turned face up, but the prediction does not match. When the performer flips the prediction card, the cut out changes to the correct name!

Instructions Quality: Black and White photocopied instructions. They arent the clearest but you can make out whats needed.

Contents: Instructions, Cards / Gimmick / Plastic Wallet

Prop Quality: Good actually. Bicycle cards, a nice black plastic ‘wallet’ and the predicition card, which is clever.

Initial Thoughts: This is a strange one. The thinking behind this is very very clever. The fact that a CUT OUT SILHOUETTE of a prediction changes to ANOTHER CUTOUT predicition is pretty cool. It works as advertised.

After Playing for a while: This is one of those things that you find yourself playing with, picking up every so often just to ‘have a go’. Mor me, this isnt something I would take around with me, I dont feel the strength of the effect warrants carrying the extra ‘wallet’. However it IS a fun item! If you like the demo above, thats exactly what you see!

First Performance: I performed this for a fellow magician who really liked it, probably more due to the inbuilt curiosity that us magicians have!

Overall Audience Reaction: This DOES go down well actually. I guess as a curiosity, something VERY unique, unlike anything your spectators will have seen.

Pros: Clever Idea, nicely made props

Cons: A one trick monkey

Value for Money: I think this should be priced at around £15. £32.99 is far to steep..

The magician places the joker on top of the packet and makes a magical gesture. Then the joker is removed to show the hole has disappered. The packet can be examined.

Contents: Instructions, Cards / Gimmicks

Prop Quality: Fine, not bicycle stock though.

Initial Thoughts: To be honest, prior to even opening the package, I watched the video online and wasnt impressed by the effect, it doesnt seem to have any rhyme or reason. However as I am a bit of a ‘method monkey’ and ‘gimmick junkie’, I wanted to see what was going on. Upon reading the instructions and looking at the supplied items, I am still not very impressed. Theres a fair bit going on for such a simple (and pointless?) effect.

After Playing for a while: I have sat here playing with this for a while now. Sadly I couldnt find any reason or place for it. We all know Masuda for the fantastic WOW Wallet / Sleeve. Sadly this doesnt even come close to living up to WOW.

First Performance: Please don’t make me perform this I would feel very silly…

Overall Audience Reaction: I havent performed it yet. If anyone can assure me that it gets great reactions, I will try it out…

Pros: Interesting idea I suppose.

Cons: For me, it just doesnt fit in anywhere. Its literally a ‘take it out, do it, put it away’ kind of trick.

Value for Money: If this was £10 – £15 It would be worth a punt if you like these kind of things. IMO its way overpriced at £34.99

Effect as advertised:

Rising Card by Henry Evans Another small miracle from FISM Award winner henry evans! A card rises in the spectator´s hand under impossible conditions, everything can be examined before and after the effect. In the end, you are automatically reset to perform it again and again. A classic of magic made even better! You recieve complete instructions and special gimmicks that make this effect a breeze.

Demo: Rising Card

Packaging Quality: Re-sealable bag with printed outer sleeve and black and white instructions.

Instructions Quality: Fine for this effect.

Contents: Instructions and gimmicked card.

Prop Quality: Fine. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Initial Thoughts: This is a very simple method for the riding card effect.

After Playing for a while: Having played with this I have come up with many other presentations, reveals and effects. The gimmick has a lot of uses.

First Performance: For the first performance I had a card peaked at (merely thought of) I then placed the entire deck into the card box and had the spectator hold it. One card began to mysteriously rise out of the box, which proved to be the thought of card.

Overall Audience Reaction: Much stronger than I anticipated.

Pros: Nicely made gimmick. Simple handling. Direct effect

Cons: Gimmick simplicity may not warrant the cost, but the idea does.

Value for Money: as above

Effect as advertised:

Back after a long absence is one of our favorite pieces! It’s made from Teak woods and beautifully finished. It is truly a collectible to include in your showcase of treasures! Actually, you’ll want to perform with it, too! It’s that good!

Open the box and remove a single coin. Close the lid and show the coin to your spectators. You cause the coin to vanish from your hand. As you stare at the box, ask a spectator to open the lid. There, inside is the coin.

You can use any coin, a gold chain or bracelet, a folded dollar, etc. Instructions include six great routines. The spectator can open and close the box. Yes, all is examinable in the end for those that must allow the audience to tinker with their props!

Demo: none

Packaging Quality:
Re-sealable bag with printed outer sleeve. Simple but effective

Instructions Quality:
Double sided A4 sheet. More than adequate for learning the effect.

Contents:
Wooden box, instructions and special gimmick

Prop Quality:
Nicely made wooden box with black velvet interior.

Initial Thoughts:
It’s bloody lovely!

After Playing for a while:
I effing love this. I can’t stop playing with this. The method is so simple but the box is examinable. You can easily make a coin/bill/card corner appear in the box when the spectator is holding it. No angle problems, just a really nice performance piece.

First Performance:
First performance for my eight year old niece but by no means just a children’s effect. She opened the box and I removed a ‘magic’ coin. She closed the box in her own hands and held it tight. I vanished the coin and when she opened the box the ‘magic’ coin had reappeared inside. NICE!

Overall Audience Reaction:
This simple box creates a real air of mystery and wonder that I didn’t think could come from such a simple prop.

Pros: Nicely made, simple operation, examinable.

Cons: Not enough room in the box for a poker sized bicycle card folded into quarters, but John Kennedy’s mystery box is an ideal solution for that effect.

Value for Money: This almost looks like a collector’s piece and I’m sure any magician would be happy to use it.

Effect as advertised:

Buckle up! You’re in for a gut wrenching, nostril-flaring ride. This is a professional’s hot rod – the cleanest, slickest hot rod ever.

You show a high-tech see-thru rod covered with different colored spots on all four sides. Remember that: they see different colored spots on all 4 sides.

The spectator chooses a number from one to six. Simply count to their number, and ask them to name the color they see.

Instantly, all the spots ON ALL 4 SIDES CHANGE TO THEIR SELECTED COLOR! You read that right – every spot!

Mere words do not do justice to this miraculous change. You just have to see it to believe it!

Even if you know how a regular Hot Rod works, Dragster will leave you astounded.

There’s no spell force, and you really COUNT to whatever number the spectator names. It’s a brand new super-sly method that defies detection.

This gimmick is so ingenious, it requires no more work than a regular Hot Rod – which means you’ll be ready to go in no time. Features include:

• A precision crafted 4-sided hot rod. • No moving parts, no shells. • No spell force. • Examinable – switch out rod included. • Video CD teaches everything!

Demo: Dragster By Magic Smith

Packaging Quality: Sealed bag, full colour insert, attractive looking package

Instructions Quality: A5 printed sheet plus six minute CD Rom. The CD Rom contains some very nice colour changes and great handling tips.

Contents: Instructions, CD Rom, prop and examinable prop to switch out.

Prop Quality: Really well made prop, easy to handle

Initial Thoughts: This is bloody genius, taken from and idea by Lubor Fiedler, this takes the hot rod idea to a whole new level.

After Playing for a while: I love this effect. I have been using it constantly and it definitely stands head and shoulders above any other paddle effects I am aware of.

First Performance: Every performance is like the first performance, it always gets a great reaction and is so easy to carry around.

Overall Audience Reaction: The in-built simplicity of the prop, coupled with the apparent free selection makes the impossible looking colour change really startling.

Pros: Perfectly made prop, extremely clever principle, and very easy handling.

Cons: none

Value for Money: For anyone who owns a hotrod or who loves the effect, Dragster is priceless.

Instructions Quality: 15 minutes of silent explanation. A great way of mastering the effect, its a very simple effect to perform so I don’t feel that written instructions were necessary.

Contents: DVD, Gimmicks and extra items. A nice package to receive.

Prop Quality: Extremely well made precision gimmick. The method isn’t exactly as I imagined, but thats no bad thing!

Initial Thoughts: WOW! This is cool. I do like gimmicks and this is a real 007 gimmick!

After Playing for a while: Easy handling. Fun to perform. Lots of scope for presentation.

First Performance: First performed for family members. Card was stuck behind french doors. Strong reactions, highly visual. Definitely appealing to lay audiences. This was repeated for different family members and family friends with the same reactions.

Overall Audience Reaction: Lots of discussion after the effect but no suggestions towards a method. Just entertaining and amazing. This is something I WILL use.

Pros: Well made, easy set up. Great effect, actually looks/feels like magic

Cons: May not work on EVERY window but common sense should dictate where to perform.

Value for Money: Worth every penny. Simple but precise gaff, but the concept is worth so much more..
